In-time is a generic software tool designed to assist in the management of
facilities or businesses where resource and labor intensive activities
dominate. Scheduling can be centralized or departmentalized; however, In-time
focuses upon the clients and their interests as they interact with each
facility and department. The application software focuses upon schedule
optimization through computerized graphic techniques (the central foundation of
the software) and activity preparation and planning. The tool overlays a
commercial relational database (Informix). Schemas were created to produce a
generic approach to up-to-the-minute charge generation, just-in-time inventory
control, resource utilization, productivity analysis, personnel management,
marketing and quality control issues, and many other items common to exisiting
commercial database templates. In-time is unique in that it offers a realtime
decision support system in a powerful GROUPWARE environment and takes advantage
of today's high speed processors with split second response time for realtime
decision support.
